For around 16 years, there were few protests and mobilizations in Chile. It is from 2006 that a cycle of mobilizations and protests begins, with ups and downs, which reaches its highest levels during the social outbreak of 2019. This chapter addresses the frequency and magnitude of these contentious episodes, as well as the type of repertoires used.
